President Barack Obama and the Michelle Obama handed out candy and cookies to visitors at the White House Halloween event on Friday. At least 4,500 people attended the bash at the White House, including children from military families and schools from the area. Earlier in the day during an economic speech at Rhode Island College, president Obama joked that he would be cutting his address short in order to return to Washington for Halloween at the White House.
"I’ve got to get back and trick-or-treat tonight with Michelle,” he said. “A good thing about being president is we never run out of presidential M&Ms. And so we’re going to be giving those out."View more pictures after the cut....
