DR Congo football team coach Claude le Roy has quit just three days before
his team's opening match at the Africa Cup of Nations. The official website of
TP Mazembe, who provide many of the players in the squad for South Africa,
reported Le Roy's decision to quit. Le Roy, 64 resigned along with assistant coach
Sebastian Migne blamed poor management of the team for his decision, while
uncertainty surrounds the issue of tournament bonuses. The players are believed
to support Le Roy's decision.
