Man mistakes hot iron for phone.

A Polish man said he was distracted by boxing on TV and mistook a hot iron for the telephone, burning the side of his head. Tomasz Paczkowski, 32, of Elblag said he was helping his wife with housework while he was off work for a few days when he made the error, the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported Thursday.

"After breakfast I started to work. I turned on the boxing channel on the TV, opened a beer and started ironing," he said.

"I was really getting involved in the boxing and was not really thinking about what I was doing," Paczkowski said. "Suddenly the phone rang and I mucked things up: instead of grabbing the receiver I picked up the iron and put it to my ear."

Drogba signs deal with Galatasaray.

The Turkish club confirmed on their website that Drogba had agreed an 18-month deal. Drogba is Galatasaray's second high-profile signing of the month after Dutch international Wesley Sneijder joined from Inter Milan. Rick Ross, real name William Leonard Roberts II, was riding in the passenger seat of his Rolls Royce when it crashed into a Floridian apartment building after being bombarded with bullets. According to reports, the driver of the vehicle lost control of the automobile leading to the vehicular accident. Ross was celebrating his birthday at a near-by restaurant that was damaged by the gunfire. Since last year, Rick Ross has been receiving death threats from a gang known as the Gangster Disciples. In November 2012, the rapper canceled a few tour dates in North Carolina and Chicago where the gang is believed to have a stronghold. The driver of the vehicle is confirmed as Shateria L. Moragne-el, Ross’ alleged girlfriend, No one was hurt.

A Bulgarian politician survived an extraordinary assassination attempt when a man stormed the stage and held a gun to his head as he was giving a speech. Fortunately for Ahmed Dogan, leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, the weapon misfired giving him time to react and hit the would-be assassin's hand out of the way. Before he could attempt a second shot the unidentified suspect was tackled to the ground by security guards and delegates attending the conference in Sofia.

Compton rapper Guerilla Black held in credit card fraud probe.

Compton rapper Guerilla Black was arrested in connection with a major credit card fraud investigation, police said Wednesday. The 35-year-old rapper, whose real name is Charles Tony Williamson, was taken into custody Wednesday morning by local officers and agents from the U.S. Secret Service, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department. Black and four others were apprehended by authorities who served search warrants at seven locations across Los Angeles County. Black was on a pre-trial release after being indicted by federal authorities in Washington on fraud charges, Manhattan Beach police said in a statement. (Los Angeles Times)

Mikel Ruffinelli who, according to online UK magazine holds the title of having the largest hips in the world at a circumference of 8 ft. The 39-year-old has been married to her husband, Reggie Brooks, 40, a computer technician, for 10 years and the couple are the proud parents of three children. Mikel also has a 19-year-old son from a previous relationship whose birth, she says, sparked the spreading of her hips. She told the mag: “After having Andrew in 1994, I went from 13st and a size 16 to 17st and a size 20 and couldn’t shift it.”Three kids later, that size jumped up to 32, accompanied by a 42D bust and a 40-inch waist.

“I put [the weight gain] down to my pregnancies,” Mikel said. “I don’t see why else the weight would go to my hips, although, I do eat lots.”

 “I love my shape and I see no reason to diet because I don’t have health problems. I love Mexican food, English breakfasts and chips. My husband finds my shape Hot and we have an amazing time in bed – there’s no position we can’t do! He tells me I’m beautiful every day. Men don’t fancy skinny girls, they like an hourglass figure.

The unpleasant incident took place this afternoon in Kano. The gun men opened fire from a motorbike, the Emir escaped unhurt but his driver was not so lucky as he was killed by the hail of gunfire. So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Congo coach quits on eve of AFCON.

DR Congo football team coach  Claude le Roy has quit just three days before his team's opening match at the Africa Cup of Nations. The official website of TP Mazembe, who provide many of the players in the squad for South Africa, reported Le Roy's decision to quit. Le Roy, 64 resigned along with assistant coach Sebastian Migne blamed poor management of the team for his decision, while uncertainty surrounds the issue of tournament bonuses. The players are believed to support Le Roy's decision.
