Midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has revealed his pain in sitting out Ghana's
game against Niger. The 22-year-old was suspended for the final Group B
game for accumulated yellow cards. As a result, the Espanyol ace missed the team's impressive 3-0 win over the Menas. According to super sport Wakaso, who has become a key player for the Black Stars, has now revealed his massive disappointment in missing the game.
"Before I came to this tournament I made up my mind not to miss even one game," he said "But what happened, happened so I had to miss that game. "It was very difficult for me watching my team from the bench knowing I can't play." Wakaso, after serving his suspension, hit a brace against Cape Verde, which secured Ghana's place in the semifinals on Saturday. He is thankfully one of the Black Stars players without a booking going into the last four contest today.
