David Beckham donates PSG salary to children's charity.

David Beckham has signed a five-month contract with Paris Saint-Germain, a deal that will see him remain with the Ligue 1 leaders until the end of the season. The 37-year-old midfielder also revealed that his entire salary will go to a local children's charity in Paris, at this afternoon's press conference, held at Parc des Princes. Beckham said that he would need to "brush up" on his French after greeting the room of packed journalists with a 'Bonjour', and confirmed that wife Victoria and their four children would stay in London, where the three boys, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are based for school.
"I'm excited to be here. It's something we've been talking about for quite a while," confirmed the former England captain. "I am proud to be part of the organisation. The deal happened at 1am on Thursday and was finalised when I got on the plane to Paris. "I was lucky to work with Carlo [Ancelotti] and Leonardo [director of football] for a few months. Carlo was one of the best managers I've played or so it's exciting on a number of levels." On the subject of wages, Beckham was quick to put an end to any cynicism that he is seeking one big final pay day, after explaining that he had come to a unique agreement with PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi - who was present alongside him at Thursday's unveiling - for his salary to be donated to charity.
